With the UK in the middle of a drought  we are doing our best here at Comphurst Cross Country to make the going as good as possible. The jumps have all-weather take-offs and landings and our sandy soil has as good a coverage of grass as can be hoped for. We have really looked after the ground to ensure that there are no ruts or dried hoof-prints, and we have regularly mown the grass in the growing season with the result that the roots have tillered out to provide good coverage.
