Clinics

We try to keep clinic prices as low as possible to ensure affordable training. For this reason, CXC Members do not receive discount on clinics.

Clinics organised by CXC will go ahead as long as conditions are safe. Riders will be informed by email, text or telephone if a clinic has to be cancelled. If the trainer has to cancel a clinic at late notice, clinic fees will be refunded less an £8 administration fee.

If a rider has to pull out of a clinic CXC will do their best to find a suitable replacement from the wait list (if applicable). If, however, this is not possible, the rider will forfeit their fee.

All clinics organised by CXC must be paid for at the time of booking to ensure that a space is reserved.

When booking, the bookee signs the Disclaimer for all the riders booking on to the clinic. He/she should ensure that riders are aware of and agree with the terms of the Disclaimer.

Riders should turn up for their clinic in good time to prepare and be correctly turned out with correct body protector, hat, boots etc, and their horse suitably ready. Trainers may not wait for late-comers.

Clinics that are organised directly by trainers are also covered by much of the above, in terms of signing the Disclaimer, punctuality, etc. In addition, it is the responsibility of the trainer to ensure that Health and Safety measures are met during the course of their clinic.

Membership

An option of CXC Membership is available. Membership lasts for a calendar season and costs £30. This entitles the member to pay the reduced rate of £20 per XC session for each horse that they ride. So a member can book in at the reduced rate to ride 10 horses and pay £20 per horse. A member CANNOT book in for a non-member friend and pay the reduced rate for the friend. The member and the non-member can still book in to ride at the same time but the member will pay the reduced rate and the non-member will pay the ordinary rate of £25.

At present, we do not have a Family Membership scheme, so the above terms also apply to members of the same family.

Refunds

We are happy to refund XC schooling fees on receipt of a copy of a doctor's/vet's certificate for the rider or horse/pony that is booked in.
